Tan Eyu’s words confirmed Li Tianyan’s guess. Zhenxian Tower had been transformed into a copper bell, and it had taken on its true form after being damaged by thunder. However, to trap a ferocious beast,  the copper bell must have been restored to its original state, at least at the level of a spiritual weapon or above.

“Young master, what should we do?” Cheng Qi asked nervously upon hearing that the ferocious beast wanted to break through its confinement.

“We have to go and take a look as soon as possible.” After Li Tianyan finished speaking, he smelled the scent of wild beasts approaching. Perhaps it was time for these warriors to leave Qiluan Mountain.

As if all the good luck for the day had been used up, the team first found that the resting point had been destroyed by thunder, and then they were surrounded by a group of wolves that had suddenly appeared.

Li Tianyan glanced at the surrounding wolves and felt relieved when he saw that only one of the wolf kings was a mutated beast, and the others were just ordinary gray wolves. It seemed that not all beasts would mutate.

Others were not so relaxed. Warriors were most afraid of encountering wolves when hunting in the mountains. These creatures were vicious and difficult to deal with. Once targeted, they would bite until death, usually resulting in a lose-lose situation. Not to mention, the wolf king in front of them was no ordinary beast but a monster like the wild boar encountered yesterday.

The normal Wolf King already possessed strong leadership abilities and high IQ, and this mutated Wolf King was no exception. Its arrogant demeanor and the deep green glow in its eyes indicated its intelligence.

As the Wolf King let out several low roars, the other gray wolves slowly surrounded the warriors in the middle, as if they had received instructions, gradually narrowing the circle to facilitate the subsequent hunting operation.

This group of gray wolves stared greedily at their prey. Although dripping with saliva, none rushed forward. Instead, they maintained formation and slowly approached step by step, making those in the middle feel increasingly oppressed.

Perhaps the wolves’ looming presence triggered fear in the hearts of some, allowing evil energy to take advantage. Several weaker warriors had already lost their minds before the wolves took action. Others tried to guard against the wolves and control their crazed teammates, but the situation became increasingly unfavorable.

Just as despair threatened to engulf them, a soothing flute sound suddenly reached their ears, like a clear spring flowing through their hearts, calming the dark emotions. Gradually, the eyes of those who had lost their minds began to clear.

Seeing his teammates awaken, Han Wei breathed a sigh of relief. If an accident had occurred at this moment, he would have surely perished. But he heard a flute’s sound, who could it be? Could it be another hallucination? He glanced around the team and saw none had a flute in their hand, feeling slightly surprised. Yet, the situation demanded his focus.

“Wake up, don’t stab yourselves to death before the wild beast devours you. Follow my command, and we’ll all make it out together,” Han Wei said to the warriors behind him, brandishing his long sword.

Li Tianyan glanced sideways at the purple bamboo flute in Cheng Qi’s hand and raised an eyebrow. Cheng Qi met his gaze, suddenly recalling that he had lied to Li Tianyan about not knowing how to play the flute. He lowered his head guiltily.

.

While the two flirted with each other, the wolf king had already begun to give orders for the wolves to attack. The others also followed Han Wei’s plan to attack the gray wolves in the east.

The Wolf King seemed to have been aware of their plan and had already blocked their escape route. When Han Wei saw the Wolf King’s figure appearing in the open passage, he attempted to hold it and let the team disperse to escape, but his body suddenly became out of his control.

“Follow me quickly.” The long knife in Han Wei’s hand emitted a trace of black energy, and he swung the knife with his backhand. Several gray wolves behind him were instantly cut into two pieces, creating a gap in the wolf pack which they rushed through.

Others witnessed Han Wei’s sudden burst of supernatural power and didn’t question it, assuming he was tapping into his potential in the crisis. They followed him, fighting their way out of the wolves.

Seeing the death of its companions, the Wolf King lost its mind and led the other gray wolves in a crazed pursuit. However, two flames of different colors suddenly appeared before its eyes. Sensing the danger, the Wolf King had to stop and avoid the flame attacks.

Han Wei didn’t lead the team to find another foothold in the mountain but instead headed straight out. When the other warriors realized this, they didn’t object, knowing they might not escape unscathed if they continued on.

At that moment, Hu Xin noticed two people missing from the team. The young couple who had been following them were nowhere to be seen. “Why didn’t that young man Li and his wife follow us? Did anyone see them just now?”

“What?” Yan Wu quickly looked back upon hearing this, confirming the absence of the two. “What should we do? Could the wolves have caught up to them?”

Han Wei, hearing the conversation ahead and said, “They must go in different direction, let’s go.” Then he continued leading others out.

Although Hu Xin felt that Han Wei was a little strange, she still felt relieved when the couple might be fine and followed the team out of the mountain.
