Chapter 11.2. My Kindergarten Days Are Over
-Miu’s POV-
With jittery eyes, I glare at Yamiyo’s exclusive maid. You taught her that, didn’t you?
Looking into Miu’s ice-blue eyes, the maid shakes her head. Hm?
“That lady-in-waiting has been reassigned elsewhere. After all, it was dangerous magic.”
The maid informs me in a not-so-silent language. I don’t know the difference between a maid and a lady-in-waiting, but the maid’s eyes told me what was happened with that lady-in-waiting. Yamiyo doesn’t seem to have noticed, but. Could this have been behind the scenes? Was it just a coincidence that the wraith appeared and was trying to do something?
It’s the Marquis family. It’s not surprising that there is a conspiracy. Well, I think it’s already taken care of. It wouldn’t be strange for that lady-in-waiting to sink to the bottom of the sea.
If this were the main character, events would have started, and he would have exposed the mastermind and exterminated them, but alas, I, the mob protagonist, probably won’t be involved. I think that’s the end of this story.
Nobles seem to have this kind of thing happening all the time.
“Oh, I’m sorry, Mii-sama. Even though you got hurt by my magic.”
“Nah. I was fine, and that was the ghost’s fault. It’s not your fault, Yamiyo-chan!”
Miu laughs to cheer her up with a nip, and Yamiyo looks up.
“Mii-sama, you’re so kind. I love you!”
I comfort the despondent Yamiyo and hug her. Then Yamiyo clings and nuzzles my cheek. The warmth and tickling make me smile too. I’m a little embarrassed by the skinship. In my previous life, I was single and didn’t have female friends who cuddled with me like this. I had girlfriends when I was younger, but they weren’t this clingy.
“More importantly, did you learn magic easily?”
“Yes. It was a little hard, though. I heard that we can use some magic instinctively.”
“It’s just as the young lady says. The young lady has awakened to the dark attribute. I heard that Miu-sama, who awakened to the holy attribute, could use recovery magic instinctively.”
I nodded in agreement. My instincts are game specs, so they don’t seem to have anything to do with it, but I’ll keep that a secret. But Yamiyo’s using such dangerous magic on instinct? Yamiyo is a dangerous girl.
“Besides, Mii-sama is a recovery magic user with a holy attribute. I’m afraid the Teijo family doesn’t have the know-how.”
After she hears about the holy attribute, Yamiyo’s mother’s face turns slightly thoughtful. Is there something there? I haven’t seen the old man who brought fruit to visit me since then. My parents don’t talk about it either, so what’s going on?
“Eh~! Can’t you practice with Mii-sama?”
Even as I’m thinking about it, the maid quickly utters a follow-up as Yamiyo becomes sad when she hears it.
“No, Miu-sama could use simple life magic outside of the attribute. If she goes to the academy, she will be taught, but before that, the nobles will be taught at home.”
“Then come study with me!”
“Yes! I want to try something called life magic!”
Holding hands with Yamiyo, I smile and get excited. Yamiyo’s mother and maid smile, their eyes relaxing at the contrast between the gray and black contrast of the little girl’s adorable appearance.
“Thanks for waiting for the Super jumbo parfait!”
Two parfaits are placed with a thump. Oh, they are bigger than the menu.
“It’s so big!”
“Yes, it is.”
It’s a gorgeous parfait in a sparkling parfait glass, with whipped cream, vanilla and chocolate ice cream, strawberries, and apples on top, in a large glass about 30 cm long.
“Eat slowly, Mii-chan.”
“Yes!”
I’m the one who’ll beat this parfait. I’ll show you how to handle a spoon. With a snort, I grab the parfait.
With a shaky spoon, the parfait appears! What a surprise.
Hmmm?
[Parfait A has appeared!]
– I fight.
– Running away
What’s this?
Miu turns her ice-blue eyes and is puzzled. The gray-haired little girl freezes with her spoon.
It seems that my game specifications are still there. My body still hides some deep secret. I’m totally in trouble.
