Chapter 212.2. A Hug With Life On The Line

-Masatoshi’s POV-
A crack appeared on the wall with a sharp sound.
I coughed up blood.
“Oh no! Are you okay, Masatoshi-san?”
Even though I only got a small injury, Sena-san landed on the ground worriedly and hugged me tightly.
Hehe, it seems like I’m loved.
I twitch my body slightly, contort my mouth into a forced smile, and think. “How adorable, getting so flustered over such a minor injury.”
“Oh, I’ll heal you!”
[Life Healing]
Although my limbs were only bent in an odd direction, Sena-san used her most powerful healing magic on me.
Surrounded by a holy glow, warmth returned to my body, which had inexplicably grown cold.
“Thank you, Sena-san.”
“Why didn’t you use the magic barrier and strengthen your body? That was dangerous!”
Sena-san’s expression changed drastically, and I sighed, raised my hand to brush back my hair, and put on a determined face.
“I just wanted to hold onto Sena-san’s soft body tightly.”
[I didn’t want to hurt you.]
That’s it. Masatoshi made up his mind and wore a triumphant expression.
Sena-san’s gaze turned chillingly cold.
Oops, I mixed up my true feelings and my facade.
The recoil from hitting my head must have been significant.
“I’m glad you’re okay, Masatoshi-san. Now, I’ll cheer for Mii-chan and the others.”
However, Sena-san smiled gently, her cold gaze perhaps just my imagination.
Thinking she might be embarrassed, Masatoshi adopts a positive mindset and watches the match.
With this, I should have been able to showcase my relationship with Sena-san.
Sorry, Shin.
It’s unclear whether anyone else saw it that way, but at least Masatoshi choose to believe it and prayed to the gods.
The match between Yamiyo and Robin was becoming intense.
“You’re quite skilled, but you’re not my match!”
Robin wore a confident smile as he continued his dual-wielding attacks.
As the leader, he had not only connections but also considerable strength.
He wielded the two swords seemed as if two synchronized swordsmen were attacking.
Usually, dual-wielding resulted in unfocused attacks.
After all, people usually use one of the swords for feints.
However, Robin skillfully utilized body enhancement, channeling power into each sword, and turning them into powerful strikes.
Just when Yamiyo thought she could dodge the horizontal slash from the right, the sword from the left came down in a diagonal strike.
Yamiyo adjusted her sword to parry the incoming attack, realizing he couldn’t dodge it completely, and took a backstep to barely evade it.
Trails of fire danced in the air as scorching lightning struck Yamiyo.
“Haha! How about that? You should admit your defeat!”
Robin continued his relentless attacks, pushing Yamiyo into a corner, like a game of shogi without losing his breath.
Robin wore a smirk on his face.
“What do you think? Don’t underestimate Teijou Marquisate.”
Waving her jet-black sword, deflecting sparks in a clash of swords, Yamiyo skillfully defended against the two swords, answering with a calm expression.
She still seemed to have plenty of composure.
“Robin! What the hell are you doing? I won’t allow you to struggle!”

As the battle dragged on, Marquis Menou started to shout angrily, with an anxious expression.
Robin glanced at his parents, bit his lip, and began infusing mana into his dual blades.
“Well, I guess I have no choice. Even if I get injured, there’s a recovery magician. I’ll be fine.”
Following his father’s instructions, Robin released mana from within his body.
A gust of wind stirred Yamiyo’s black hair, blowing fiercely around the surroundings.
“It’s the end with my ultimate technique!”
[Thunderfire Cross Flash]
The fire and lightning residing within the two swords gathered even more power, blazing with purple electricity.
And thus, the sword flash transformed into a cross-shaped trajectory, attacking Yamiyo.
“You can’t stop that attack with a magic barrier.”
I panicky watched it. But Yamiyo remained calm.
“Shoulder Shield, deploy.”
As Yamiyo muttered, the large shoulder guards detached and expanded, forming magic arrays.
Then, a translucent barrier of darkness was created, intercepting Robin’s sword.
“W-What? What is that?”
Blocked by the barrier, Robin’s dual blades were entangled and unable to move.
Astonished, Robin froze as Yamiya coldly delivered his words.
“To protect Mii-sama, I had requested a heavily armored magic suit. It seems to have quite the performance.”
“Damn it! You had an armored barrier deployment-type magic tool prepared!”
“In that case, it’s my turn.”
[Darkness Sword 1st Style, Giant Skeleton Swords]
An eerie sword, formed by a blade made of ominous bones, appeared in Yamiyo’s hand.
It was a sword infused with dangerous mana that was evident just by looking at it.
“It’s over.”
“Guhh!”
He took a direct hit from a horizontal swing, sent flying.
Similar to what happened to Masatoshi, he embedded himself into the wall and then collapsed, showing signs of pain and unconsciousness.
“H-How terrifying! Robin!”
Marquis Menou screamed, and the surrounding nobles were also shocked.
Yamiyo swung her sword once, not showing joy in her victory, and returned it to its sheath.
“It’s settled.”
I sighed as I watched the scene.
I thought Yamiyo’s intervention would end the battle between the gray-haired girl and the Alien Piggy, but…
“Teeyaa.”
For some reason, I saw the gray-haired girl rolling around with tire-like speed.
“What are you doing? What’s going on?”
