Chapter 363.2. A Large Aerial Battleship!
-Miu’s POV-
“W-What is that?”
“It suddenly appeared!”
“I-It’s a battleship!”
The gardeners, faced with the sudden appearance of the airborne battleship, stood there gaping, looking up at it. It was understandable. Mii-chan herself would react the same way in such a situation.
[Start boarding! Open the teleport portal!]
Following Mii-chan’s thoughts, a teleport portal emitting a bluish-white light appeared. It was the entrance to board the battleship.
“Now, shall I wait for everyone to come like this?”
“Well then, Master. Allow me to board first.”
“Hyan-Hyan!”
As expected, the first to arrive was Nimue. The blue-haired maid landed gracefully in front, with a Pomeranian perched on her head. She wasn’t wearing a maid outfit. She had the Magical Armor Einherjar.
“Yeah, I’m counting on you, Nimue.”
“Leave it to me, master. I will fight by your side until I exhaust my strength.”
“Hyan-Hyan!”
“Wan-Wan!”
“Kuun-Kuun!”
Following behind were Odin’s attendants, the wolf duo Freki and Geri, entering the portal.
“Hmph looks like I’m late.”
“Hehe, the final battle, huh? Did you bring snacks properly?”
Odin and Frigg appeared with teleportation.
“This should be the last time. Counting on you!”
“Let’s clean up without any regrets, young lady.”
“Give it your all, everyone!”
Odin shrugged, and with a seductive smile from Frigg, they disappeared into the portal.
Next was…someone in a costume walking towards them. Various-sized costumes, such as tanuki, cat, alligator, shark, ant, fox, and more. Could it be Freya and the others?
When she was about to speak with a wry smile, Mii-chan was interrupted.
“Mii-chan! What’s all this commotion?”
Before her, from behind, came a worried voice. Even without turning around, she knew. It was mama.
“Mama… Dangerous enemies have appeared. Mii-chan has to defeat them.”
“You’re going to another dangerous place again? Is the Archmage inside the battleship? Sorry, but I’m asking you not to take Mii-chan with you.”
Footsteps approached briskly. It sounded a bit rough, probably because mama was angry.
“No, I can’t. This enemy is extremely dangerous. If Mii-chan doesn’t go, we’ll surely lose. I have to go defeat formidable monsters with the chosen elite.”
Holding her hand tightly, I turned around with a serious expression. In front of me. There was Mama, looking worried with a face that seemed on the verge of tears.
Seeing that face, I hesitated for a moment. Even Odin’s group could defeat the enemy. The heroic spirits are skilled too… While glancing at the group of costume-wearing figures entering the portal one after another, she thought, “Maybe I should just say I’m not going.”.
However, it was no use. My instinct understood. This battle would undoubtedly be the gods’ final showdown.
That’s why Mii-chan had to go. No, Takano Miu had to go.
Mama, after a slight surprise at my determined expression, sighed.
“I see… Is Mii-chan really needed?”
“Yeah, I’m a recovery magician! Leave it to me; I’ll do my best to protect everyone.”
With a confident smile, I patted my chest.
“…You’ll still go even if I try to stop you? I’ll be mad when you come back, you know?”
“Yeah, no matter how mad you get, no matter how much you try to stop me, I’ll go. Because that’s the path I’ve chosen.”
“I see… Matsu-san, Gamon-san, please protect my daughter.”
Bowling deeply to the guards who were beside mama as escorts and joined later, mama made a deep bow, asking for their protection.
“Leave it to us. We’ll devote our lives to supporting Otome-sama.”
“Our master is strong. She will surely return safely.”
With a gentle smile toward mama, Matsuisan and the others bowed in response. Although they seemed worried, mama turned her face towards me.
“Well then, go! I’ll prepare fist punches and hamburgers for you when you come back!”
“Yeah! I’ll be off. I’ll make the souvenir a helmet!”
Her eyes were pleading with worry. But even so, mama saw us off with a strong smile. Truly, she was Mii-chan’s mama. I couldn’t help but respect her.
After confirming that everyone had entered the teleport portal, Mii-chan also entered.
Wrapped in a bluish-white light, the scenery changed, and she found herself on the bridge.
There was a large monitor in front, and desks and chairs for operators were arranged radially. Everyone was already seated, and everything seemed to be in order.
Taking the open captain’s seat, I turned my gaze forward.
-If you sortie, you won’t be able to return until you clear it! Is that okay?-
[Of course, yes!]
With a wide sweep of her hands, she shouted.
“Aerial Battleship Asgard set sail!”
“Yes!”
Everyone’s response came back, and the airborne battleship started to move. There was no turning back now.
Whatever awaited them ahead, this was the final battle!
