Volume 1 Chapter 12: Class Committee
The entire day, Ning Chu drifted through in a daze.
Perhaps it was because of the lewd thoughts that had filled his mind the previous night, or maybe he had thought too much before going to sleep, but in any case, he had not slept well. He kept having nightmares where he turned into a woman, being ravaged by Wen Yang and Zhang Shaoqing.
It was terrifying…
Usually, when he had a dream, if he woke up in the middle of it, he couldn’t return to it. However, the nightmares from last night kept resuming every time he fell back asleep, leaving him restless throughout the night.
“Damn…”
With a sleep-deprived brain, Ning Chu’s thoughts were in a chaotic state. He sleepily completed the morning military training and followed his classmates into classroom D203 in the teaching building.
It was a plain classroom with rows of desks and chairs.
Ning Chu randomly found a seat, slumped over the desk, half-opening his eyes, and gazing at the counselor standing at the front.
“Let me introduce myself again, just in case some of you have forgotten.”
The counselor turned and wrote his name and phone number on the blackboard: “If you have any minor issues, contact me through the group chat. For major matters, call my phone directly.”
Han Jingye? The name sounded quite pleasant, and his appearance was refined and well-groomed.
Ning Chu wondered if the shady things involving female students behind the scenes had occurred in this story.
“Next, students who want to run for class committee positions can come up and give a speech.”
Ning Chu yawned, rested his cheek on the cool desk, and paid no attention. He had no interest in class committee elections unless he suspected Han Jingye of wrongdoing.
“Wen Yang.”
“Yeah?” Sitting at the same table as Ning Chu, Wen Yang lowered his head to look at him, his face squished by the desk.
After some consideration, Ning Chu continued, “If you become a class committee member, please keep an eye on the girls who interact with the counselor.”
“Oh? Interested in dating someone? Why specifically those who interact with the counselor?”
Ning Chu couldn’t explain his baseless suspicions to Wen Yang, so he simply replied with a soft “Hmm…”
Then, without making any excuses, he responded to Wen Yang’s confusion with silence.
“Why don’t you give it a try too? Being a class committee member is not bad; it can help you develop your personality since you’re a bit introverted.”
“No thanks.”
He had too many confusing matters to sort out; becoming a class committee member was out of the question.
Although he had entertained the idea of taking the initiative to approach Han Jingye, there was Wen Yang now, as Ning Chu had imagined. As expected, when Wen Yang stood up to run for the class committee, the outcome was already predetermined.
Unsurprisingly, Wen Yang became the class president, a mature-looking wolf girl became the vice-president, and a friendly guy from the same table became another vice-president.
Ning Chu was only interested in the wolf girl, admiring her fluffy tail. When he found out that she became a vice-president, her tail wagged like a small toy windmill. Even from a few meters away, the breeze generated by her tail reached Ning Chu’s face, more refreshing than an electric fan.
“The vice-president is really something, isn’t she?” Zhang Shaoqing leaned over, nudging Ning Chu with his shoulder, his tone full of innuendo, and he grinned in a slightly creepy manner. “Look at that hourglass figure. Look at those thighs.”
“Ugh… She could probably punch me to death.”
The tank top and hot pants showcased the wolf girl’s figure perfectly, but Ning Chu seriously doubted that she could punch him to death on the spot.
Her wolf ears twitched, and suddenly she turned her head, locking her gaze onto him.
Wow, her ears are that sensitive?
He immediately backed down, leaned on the desk, lowered his body, and hid behind Wang Jie, one of his classmates.
“Don’t be scared.” Zhang Shaoqing playfully smiled at the wolf girl. “By the way, what’s her name?”
“How would I know? I didn’t listen to what they said during the election.”
He had almost fallen asleep earlier.
Zhang Shaoqing chuckled wickedly. “You were gossiping behind her back.”
“I was just joking– Besides, aren’t your comments even more inappropriate?”
“Nah~ I was praising her figure.”
Fortunately, the wolf girl didn’t pay much attention to their remarks. Her ears twitched again, and she continued chatting with her friends, swaying her tail.
Ning Chu finally breathed a sigh of relief. He looked at the girl who stood at around 1.7 meters tall with a visible hourglass figure and compared it to his own feeble appearance.
He didn’t feel very manly at all.
He didn’t bother complaining about his appearance; in fact, he had no intention of working out to change it. If it weren’t for the possibility of turning into a girl in this world, he would be a content underachiever.
Besides, even if he were to become a muscular man at 1.6 meters tall, it wouldn’t make much difference.
“Alright, the three class committee members, stay. The rest can go.”
As soon as Han Jingye spoke, the students quickly scattered, rushing to the door.
“In the future, class meetings will mostly be held here…”
Before he could finish his sentence, only three newly appointed class committee members remained in the classroom, along with Ning Chu, who had just yawned and stood up from his seat.
He looked around with bleary eyes, a bewildered expression on his face, and his gaze finally settled on Wen Yang.
“Wait for me, I’ll be down in a moment, and we can go to the cafeteria together.”
“Yeah.”
He sat down again, his face buried in his arms as if taking a nap, but his ears were perked up, listening intently to Han Jingye and the class committee members’ discussions, afraid of missing any details.
Last night, Ning Chu had carefully searched the book for information about the counselor and had only found a short subplot about a hidden rule. In essence, the counselor used a scholarship as leverage to make a high-achieving female student willingly offer herself.
The key was the use of a scholarship as leverage…
What a scumbag!
“In the evening, collect information from your classmates and fill out the forms to send to me.”
“Starting tomorrow, Wen Yang will be responsible for roll call. Report to me if anyone is late or absent.”
“During the military training period, buy two cases of water and bread every day. If it’s not enough, buy more. Oh, I also bought a sun umbrella. Tomorrow, take it to the office. It can be used to shade from the sun during breaks.”
…
Ning Chu didn’t hear anything valuable– In fact, he felt like this counselor was quite dedicated.
“Let’s go,” Wen Yang lightly tapped the desk with his knuckles. “We’re done here. Let’s go eat.”
“Didn’t you sleep well last night? You’ve been half-asleep all day.”
Ning Chu yawned and sat up, stretching his arms high above his head. “Yeah, I didn’t sleep well.”
While he was chatting with Wen Yang, he kept an eye on Han Jingye. In fact, he had been observing Han Jingye’s expressions since the class meeting, trying to figure out which girls this guy might be interested in.
Hmm, why does he keep staring at me?
Ning Chu stood up, quickened his pace to catch up with Wen Yang, and quietly asked, “Did you notice? The counselor keeps looking at me.”
“Maybe he’s wondering why a girl entered the boys’ dormitory?”
“…”
Wen Yang smiled and looked down at Ning Chu’s clean and innocent face, “With your height and looks, it would be strange if others didn’t notice you.”
“That makes sense.”
“Are you particularly interested in the counselor?”
Ning Chu hesitated for a moment. “Is it that obvious?”
“Yeah… Are you… into the counselor?”
“I– cough! Cough!”
Ning Chu was caught off guard by this question and choked, his face turning red. He struggled to catch his breath and finally retorted indignantly after recovering.
“I like women!”
Why was even Wen Yang, the straightforward guy, teasing him like this? Must be the influence of Zhang Shaoqing!
