Ernst Zimmerman

Ernst Zimmerman, also known as Ernst, emerges as a secondary supporting character in the 86 -Eighty Six- series, introduced in "Run Through the Battlefront." He serves as the interim president of the Federal Republic of Giad, a position he assumes after leading revolutionary forces to victory against the oppressive Giadian Empire. Notably, Ernst is a former imperial general who grew disillusioned with the Empire's policies, leading him to champion the cause of revolution.

Beyond his political role, Ernst holds a personal connection to several key characters within the narrative. He is the adopted father of Frederica Rosenfort and the five survivors of the Spearhead Squadron, further intertwining his fate with the central storyline.

In terms of appearance, Ernst cuts a middle-aged figure, characterized by his ink-black hair and eyes reminiscent of a Jet. However, the passage of time has begun to lend a touch of gray to his hair, a testament to his aging.
