Han Sooyoung

If Kim Dokja is the reader and Yoo Joonghyuk is the protagonist, then Han Sooyoung is the author — sharp-tongued, brilliant, and infuriatingly indispensable. She is not just a companion in Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint; she is one of the narrative’s architects, both within the story and outside of it.

Appearance:
Han Sooyoung’s true form is striking despite her petite build: a small face framed by short black hair, large expressive eyes, pale skin, and a beauty mark under one eye. Her sharp canines give her an almost fox-like impression, fitting for someone whose personality is equal parts charm and bite. While her Avatar clones allow her to change appearances freely, her most iconic look remains her casual jeans, later replaced by her combat gear and her ever-present glasses — a symbolic mark of both intelligence and identity.

Personality:
Han Sooyoung begins as a self-proclaimed villain, a woman who manipulates, deceives, and kills for her own gain. At Chungmuro station, she plays the role of the cunning opportunist, unflinching and pragmatic, with no illusions about her morality. She openly calls herself a bad person, and yet, that very honesty makes her fascinating. Where others try to justify their sins, Han Sooyoung wears hers like armor.

But ORV thrives on transformation, and Han Sooyoung’s arc is one of its most compelling. From an opportunistic loner, she grows into one of Kim Dokja’s most trusted allies. Beneath her sarcasm, insults, and constant bickering lies fierce loyalty. She mocks, berates, and teases those she cares about — especially Kim Dokja — but she would also stake her life on protecting them. This duality makes her a mirror of Yoo Joonghyuk: both harsh, both relentless, but both ultimately motivated by a desperate unwillingness to lose those who matter.

The Author’s Will:
Han Sooyoung is more than a fighter or strategist; she is a creator. Her pride in her writing borders on arrogance, but her talent is undeniable. Before the scenarios, she was already a celebrated novelist, rich and famous from her works. Within the scenarios, she proves herself again — predicting outcomes, manipulating narratives, and crafting the endings she believes in. Like Kim Dokja, she is obsessed with stories. Like Yoo Joonghyuk, she is relentless in pursuit of her vision. Her dream is not just survival, but a perfect ending, one she refuses to compromise on.

Role in the Trio:
Together with Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk, Han Sooyoung completes the trinity at the heart of ORV:

  • Yoo Joonghyuk, the blade that acts.

  • Kim Dokja, the reader who interprets.

  • Han Sooyoung, the writer who creates.

Her presence injects wit, conflict, and humanity into the group. She is not soft, but she is steadfast. She is not gentle, but she is true. She is the voice that calls Kim Dokja out on his self-destructive tendencies, the one who pushes him to keep moving forward, even when her own heart is breaking.

In the End:
Han Sooyoung represents the unyielding will of the storyteller — flawed, arrogant, and stubborn, but also brilliant, loyal, and fiercely protective. She is a reminder that stories do not exist without authors, that heroes and readers alike need someone to write their tale. In Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, she is the spark of chaos, the laughter in the darkness, and the ink that refuses to run dry.
