Ludger Cherish

Ludger Cherish is the protagonist of Academy’s Undercover Professor. Originally a man who died in a car accident on Earth, he is reborn in a magical world where magic and science coexist. His new life begins under the assumed identity of Ludger Cherish, a professor at the prestigious Theorn Academy, after a raid on a train disrupts his journey to recover fragments of a relic.

Ludger is a striking figure, tall (over 1.80 meters) with sharp, blue eyes (in reality, red) and long black hair. His features are described as sculpted, with a strong jawline, a nose that seems carved by a master, and long eyelashes. His physical appearance exudes a nobility that is often described as being "far nobler than any other noble," with every step he takes drawing admiration. His charisma is undeniable, and even a brief encounter with his gaze can leave others feeling embarrassed and awestruck.

While he is often seen as a man of refined elegance, Ludger is far from ordinary. His physically trained body, which is subtly noticeable beneath his clothes, marks him as more than just a typical wizard. On his back, the stigma of the Lumensis Church, branding him as the illegitimate child of a divine lineage, is visible, adding to his mysterious nature.

A unique feature of Ludger’s existence is the halo—a complex, three-layered barrier that floats above his head, visible only to gods. This ethereal mark hints at his exceptional origins and the supernatural forces intertwined with his identity.
