Natsume Akatsuki

Natsume Akatsuki is a celebrated Japanese author, primarily known for his contributions to the light novel and manga genres. His most famous work is the KonoSuba series, which has garnered significant popularity and adaptations.

Beginning his career in 2012, Akatsuki entered his initial work, Dragontarashi, into a competition but only reached the second round. He continued to refine his craft by posting writings on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, a platform for user-generated novels, under various pseudonyms. One of his notable early works includes Combatants Will Be Dispatched!, serialized in 2012 under the pseudonym Sentōin Sangō, concluding swiftly with 68 chapters.

Following this, Akatsuki briefly withdrew from the public platform, only to return under a new username and serialize further works including the renowned KonoSuba, which spanned 124 chapters and concluded in 2013. KonoSuba later transitioned from web serialization to a published series under Kadokawa Shoten's Sneaker imprint.

Alongside his serialized works, Akatsuki has released additional stories and adaptations, expanding his footprint in the anime world. Notably, his works such as Kemono Michi and Combatants Will Be Dispatched! have also been adapted into anime, underscoring his role as a key figure in contemporary Japanese pop literature.
