Chapters not being released?

I don't think this is a bug, but I was just wondering if some translated works are supposed to have premium chapters that NEVER unlock? I was reading a novel that lets you read 54 chapters for free and then the rest are premium and require money. It's been 3-4 months since I last read and chapter 55+ is still locked. I'm new to this site so I just don'r know if this normal or if chapters are eventually released or if premium chapters you HAVE to pay to read
