After the succubus became a fake young master that everyone disliked - Chapter 25
The curtains had been drawn at some point, and to create a movie-watching atmosphere, Chi Jing turned off most of the bright lights in the living room.
The first floor became dim and shadowy.
He drawled slowly, “Okay.”
“What are you two doing?” Mu Jingshan’s voice broke the ambiguous atmosphere.
Chi Jing paused and looked up at the stairs.
Mu Jingshan was standing at the top of the stairs, looking down at them with an indescribable expression.
Chi Jing didn’t feel any embarrassment at being caught.
“Can’t you see?” He pondered for a few seconds, fishing some words from his meager vocabulary, “Flirting? Getting cozy?”
Jiang Yucheng didn’t refute, merely smiled, showing that whatever he said was fine with him.
Mu Jingshan: “?”
He took a deep breath, “So, am I the third wheel now?”
“Well, not exactly.” Chi Jing paused, then asked, “Did you clean the cat litter?”
Mu Jingshan: “Yes.”
Chi Jing: “Thanks.”
Mu Jingshan: …
He stood up indignantly, “Goodbye!”
When he reached the door, he quietly closed it.
Chi Jing turned to Jiang Yucheng, “Alright, you can continue now.”
Whatever intimate atmosphere was left vanished at that moment. Jiang Yucheng reached out and gently kneaded the back of Chi Jing’s neck.
“Stop messing around, go take a shower.”
Chi Jing’s eyelashes fluttered lightly, “I’m serious.”
In the dim living room, he simply lifted his shirt, pulling it up to his chest, “Here, take a look.”
Jiang Yucheng’s eyes darkened abruptly, his gaze enveloped in an inscrutable emotion.
Unable to resist, he placed his hand on Chi Jing’s pale back, fingers tracing slowly from the shoulder blades down to the small of his back.
Chi Jing shuddered sensitively at the touch, letting out a few soft breaths.
“Mm.”
Jiang Yucheng came to his senses at the sound of Chi Jing’s breath, his fingertips pressing gently into the small of his back.
His gaze lingered on the small of his back, just enough to hold his entire waist, but he ultimately restrained himself and looked up.
In his line of sight, a pair of small black bat wings emerged from Chi Jing’s shoulder blades, about half the size of an adult male’s palm.
He touched them lightly, causing Chi Jing to tremble even more.
“So small?”
“They’re just in their newborn state.” Chi Jing’s chest heaved heavily as he spoke intermittently, “I have a guess that once the bat wings and tail finish their growth phase, I might directly enter the mature phase.”
Jiang Yucheng pulled his shirt back down.
“Mature phase?”
“Yes, the mature phase of a succubus.” Chi Jing, fearing Jiang Yucheng wouldn’t understand, found a more fitting explanation, “In human terms, it’s more like entering a mating season that requires a period of bonding to get through.”
Jiang Yucheng: “So, are you inviting me?”
“Just asking.” He recovered from his refractory period, sitting up nonchalantly, “You can refuse; I can still find someone else.”
“No way!”
Chi Jing: “So you’re agreeing?”
Jiang Yucheng grasped his wrist, “I agree, no finding anyone else.”
“Alright, as long as you can handle it, I won’t look for anyone else.” Chi Jing spoke lightly.
He purposely showed his bat wings to him to bring up the topic of his mature phase.
Though he said he could find others, that was in his original world.
Now, being in the human world, if he were an ordinary human, he could find a hundred, a thousand, or even ten thousand partners. But with the bat wings and tail, he dared not fool around, fearing a human might accidentally expose him to some research facility.
He definitely didn’t want to end up as a lab rat.
“Alright, you should head back.” He started to dismiss him, “I want to watch a movie.”
Hearing this, Jiang Yucheng didn’t leave; instead, he sat right next to him.
“Use and discard?”
“Yes.” Chi Jing shamelessly admitted, “Any problem with that?”
“No problem, but watching a movie in my own house isn’t an issue either.”
Chi Jing turned his head, “Your house?”
Jiang Yucheng: “My house.”
Chi Jing had long guessed that this was Jiang Yucheng’s private residence but didn’t expect the whole villa to belong to him.
But…
Chi Jing, after a moment of surprise, nodded calmly, “Nice taste, I like it.”
Jiang Yucheng hugged him, stifling his laughter.
“Let’s watch together.” he grasped Chi Jing’s fingertips, playing with them in his palm.
“Oh.”
Chi Jing curled his fingers slightly, tracing patterns in Jiang Yucheng’s palm, stirring endless ripples.
Maybe it was the residual alcohol, but within two hours and five minutes of the movie, he fell asleep halfway through.
When he woke up, he was lying in his own bed.
The blackout curtains blocked out all light, and the air conditioner diligently filled the room with cool air.
He rubbed his sore head and pulled out his phone to check the time.
Eight-thirty. He had slept for twelve hours.
No wonder his head hurt.
He got out of bed, his bare feet touching the floor.
The kitten, startled awake by the noise, crawled out of its bed at the foot of his bed and rubbed against his feet.
He bent down and petted it absentmindedly before bypassing it to enter the bathroom.
Soon, the bathroom was filled with steam, accompanied by the sound of running water as he stepped into the bathtub.
Sunlight streamed into the bathroom without obstruction, dazzling and bright. The water covered his naked body, overflowing from the edges, and bubbles from the bath ball concealed the slender, beautiful legs beneath.
Further down, the scenery was hidden under the foam.
When he emerged from the bathroom, it was already past nine.
He opened the wardrobe, selecting a comfortable pair of shorts and a T-shirt from the few items inside, his slender legs exposed.
Dressed, he casually made his way downstairs, passing through the low fence he saw the day before, and headed to the neighboring villa.
He knocked on the door.
Jiang Yucheng opened it, seeing Chi Jing standing against the light.
Sunlight outlined Chi Jing’s silhouette, making him appear almost godlike as he stood at his door.
Jiang Yucheng extended an arm, hooking it around his waist and pulling him inside.
“Had breakfast?”
Chi Jing: “I ordered takeout, to your place.”
Jiang Yucheng smiled, “Alright.”
After breakfast, Chi Jing followed him to the garage, pointing to the most eye-catching red sports car, “I like this one.”
Jiang Yucheng was about to open a more understated car, but hearing this, he stopped and didn’t try to persuade Chi Jing otherwise, agreeing readily.
“I’ll get the keys.”
Ten minutes later, they left the villa area in the red sports car.
Jiang Yucheng took him to the restaurant where Director Xu had booked a private room. Inside were a middle-aged couple and a young man.
Hearing the door open, the bald man turned and smiled upon seeing Jiang Yucheng.
His gaze then shifted to Chi Jing, “This is the Chi Jing you mentioned? Not bad, not bad.”
Jiang Yucheng led him to a seat and introduced, “This is Director Xu Yichun.”
Chi Jing met Xu Yichun’s appraising gaze without any undue humility, “Hello, Director Xu.”
“This is Liao Zhisha, the original screenwriter of ‘Swords’.”
Chi Jing smiled and nodded, “Hello, Ms. Liao.”
“This is Assistant Director Ai Feng.”
Chi Jing greeted the last young man with the same attitude, “Hello.”
After the introductions, Xu Yichun nodded approvingly, “Not bad, not bad, this is just like Zhou Si!”
Chi Jing knew that Zhou Si was the role he was going to play.
“Director, I must inform you, I’m not a performing arts graduate, and I’ve never taken acting classes.” He warned him.
Xu Yichun showed no hesitation or doubt upon hearing this.
“As long as the casting is right, acting skills can come later.” He crossed his legs, looking more like a thug than a renowned director, especially with his bald head.
“Besides,” he smirked at Jiang Yuchenh, “with him around, he can teach you privately and help you get into character during filming.”
Since Xu Yichun trusted him to play the role, Chi Jing stopped worrying.
“Alright then, it’s a deal.” He extended his hand to Xu Yichun, “Please coordinate with my manager for further details.”
Xu Yichun: “Rest assured, with your looks, you will definitely do well as Zhou Si.”
Liao Zhisha smiled, then punched Xu Yichun in the back.
“Zhou Si isn’t just about looks.” After hitting him, she nodded apologetically to Chi Jing, “Sorry, but you definitely match Zhou Si’s vibe, believe me.”
Chi Jing: “Since you created Zhou Si, I naturally trust your judgment.”
She seemed pleased, “Mr. Chi, you are really handsome.”
“Thank you.” He accepted the compliment confidently, having heard it all his life.
They agreed on a contract signing date, and he accompanied Jiang Yucheng for a simple meal before leaving the restaurant.
Reclining in the passenger seat of the sports car, Chi Jing heard the sound of a camera and looked over, locking eyes with a young man holding it.
Seeing Chi Jing looking at him, the young man nervously lowered his phone, stammering an apology, “Sorry.”
Chi Jing smiled, neither scolding nor showing displeasure, and confidently struck a V pose.
The driver’s side door opened, and he stopped looking at the photographer, reaching out to take the milk tea Jiang Yucheng had just bought.
He unwrapped the straw and took a big sip.
Delicious!
Jiang Yucheng looked down, fastening his seatbelt with one hand.
“Don’t drink too much cold stuff after eating spicy food.”
“Okay.” Chi Jing sipped the milk tea in smaller gulps.
His phone suddenly vibrated in his pocket. He took it out, unsurprised to see Mu Jingshan’s name on the caller ID.
It was probably about Longhuang Entertainment or the contract with Director Xu.
He swiped the screen, “Hello.”
“Chi Jing! Where are you? I’m coming to your place.”
“Someone found me, claiming to be your biological father!!!”
