‘Is it already Friday?’

This week felt like the most chaotic and eventful one in my life.

Getting dumped by Chae Suhyeon, joining the Blue Guild, meeting Lee Sooah, and even being dispatched to Yoo Hana.

Life seems filled with unpredictable events.

I never imagined I would become acquainted with two S-rank hunters just a week ago.

‘She’s really pretty.’

My thoughts about Yoo Hana were always like this.

She was much more beautiful than what I had seen on TV.

‘You need to look like this to be a celebrity.’

Anyone who catches a glimpse of her would instantly understand.

Anyone would fall in love if they saw her even for a moment.

“What are you doing? Do you have something on your face?”

I must have been staring at Yoo Hana too intently.

A slightly sharp remark flew my way.

“Oh. No, you’re just so beautiful.”

I accidentally let my true feelings slip.

“What?”

Yoo Hana’s face suddenly turned red.

“Don’t say such things. I know I’m not that pretty, so stop.”

With that, she quickly went to prepare for the shoot.

‘Why did I say something so foolish…?’

After seeing Yoo Hana’s reaction, I finally snapped out of it.

“Ah, Baek Jihoon-ssi. Saying things like that won’t make Yoo Hana notice you~~~”

Out of nowhere, the manager sat beside me and offered me a coffee.

“Phew, here, have this.”

“Yes.”

Click.

“By the way, how did you end up dispatched to our team?”

“Excuse me?”

“The 15 people who came before you were all A-rank or at least at a comparable level, but you’re supposed to be E-rank?”

He was looking at me with a mix of caution and suspicion.

“Uh, right. I’m not exactly sure. I was just ordered to come here suddenly.”

“Hmm, really? You honestly don’t know? There’s no way the Blue Guild would suddenly send you here without a reason.”

He seemed completely unwilling to believe me.

“It’s true. I just joined this week.”

“Eh? This week?”

His face scrunched up.

“Yes. I was told to come here on my third day?”

“Then where were you originally assigned?”

His voice was gradually darkening.

He didn’t seem particularly pleased.

“I was part of Team A Hunter Class 6.”

“Eh… Team A means you belong to Hunter Lee Sooah, right?”

“Yes.”

“Oh, that’s why Lee Sooah kept coming after you.”

His expression showed that he understood something now.

‘Then what did he think this was all about until now?’

“I thought that Hunter Lee Sooah came up with some excuse just to provoke our Yoo Hana…”

“Haha…”

“But then what were you doing before? How did you end up in the Blue Guild? I wanted to go there too.”

“Ah…”

I felt like the conversation was heading in a pointless direction, so I tried to brush it off.

I felt I’d become a really strange person if I talked about Chae Suhyeon.

“By the way, about Yoo Hana.”

“Yes?”

“Do you think she might come back to the Blue Guild?”

“Hmm… I don’t think so at all. She really hates being a hunter.”

“Is that so?”

‘This might become a bit difficult after all.’

Having parted ways with Chae Suhyeon, I have nothing to do but to rise to S-rank.

In that case, Chae Suhyeon might regret it.

What I wanted with Chae Suhyeon from the start was to become an S-rank hunter.

I actually think it would be best for me to win over the S-ranks.

That way, Chae Suhyeon would surely get upset and restless.

If I take the place she longed for, it’s only natural to expect how she might react.

To do that, I need to conquer each S-rank one by one.

Winning over Yoo Hana would certainly bring me closer to what I want.

If I could bring her back to the Blue Guild, it would be pretty good.

I started thinking deeply.

“If I mention hunters in front of Yoo Hana, I’m sure I’ll see a furious expression. Moreover, talking about the Blue Guild is even worse. Right now, accepting a dispatch from the Blue Guild is something I’m just barely managing. They only take me back because I’m groveling at their feet~”

“Hmmm.”

Exactly.

What I should be doing is groveling before Yoo Hana.

However, I thought doing that wouldn’t resolve the situation.

Until this matter was settled, I wouldn’t be able to return to Class 6.

Then I’d have no choice but to resign.

Just like the previous 15 people.

But I can’t just end up back in the Blue Guild after all this.

I decided to come up with a slightly different strategy.

*

“Hm… Baek Jihoon…”

Yoo Hana was lost in deep thought.

‘Did he really say I’m pretty?’

‘Ha, right. What kind of obvious statement is that? Of course, I’m pretty. Do I look unattractive?’

‘Is he just trying to flatter me? Does he think I’ll like him for such insincere compliments?’

‘Hmph. There’s no way I’m going back to the Blue Guild.’

‘No matter how he tries to charm me, I’m absolutely not falling for it.’

She grumbled while having her makeup done.

‘But why can’t I get this Baek Jihoon out of my head? What is it? What on earth is going on?’

‘Did he place some strange spell on me? Why am I feeling like this?’

‘I’ve never felt this way about anyone before.’

She crossed her arms, showing her displeasure.

“Um… Yoo Hana, is there something wrong with your makeup today…?”

The staff member, who was working diligently on her makeup, froze in a state of panic.

“I… I’m sorry. I’ll do better!”

“No, it’s not about the makeup. Don’t worry about it.”

She resumed her grumbling demeanor.

*

“Okay, we’re starting! Scene 138, let’s go.”

Yoo Hana was surrounded by numerous filming staff.

It was the peak scene of a fairly popular drama.

Today was an important day for filming a crucial moment.

“Jinseok, do you think… you might take me back?”

This was a scene where Yoo Hana’s character, set up as a tremendous villain, regretted her actions and clung to the male character once more.

“I’m sorry. If you just give me one more chance… I was so foolish…”

Yoo Hana was doing her best to act.

“Cut. Huh…”

Suddenly, the cut was called.

“Yoo Hana…?”

The director had a slight frown, mixed with an apologetic expression.

“It seems like you’re a bit unfocused today. I wonder why? You’ve been doing well so far? And you know today is the highlight scene, right? But… how should I put it… it doesn’t feel sincere.”

He looked quite disappointed.

“Is it bad?”

“No, it’s not bad, just… it could be better.”

“That’s the same thing!”

“No, no~ I just want you to focus a little more~”

“Got it.”

Yoo Hana returned with a bit of hurt pride.

Then the second take began.

“Please… please look at me again. I admit everything was my fault.”

“Cut.”

Once again, the director seemed dissatisfied.

‘Hmm. Isn’t this okay? What more does he want?’

Naturally, I was watching from a distance as Yoo Hana acted.

Being a celebrity’s manager is indeed busy and tough.

But during the filming, there wasn’t much for me to do.

There was nothing to assist with.

“Ugh. The angle isn’t coming out the way I want it~”

The director kept scratching the back of his head, still not pleased.

“Is this also not good? I worked really hard.”

“I think Yoo Hana has never truly experienced regret. Therefore, there’s no sense of boiling emotions. It’s not that she is the problem… I just don’t know how to explain it? Various feelings of guilt, reflections on the past, and self-examination need to be felt~ That way, you can impact the person receiving the apology too~”

“Hmm…”

Yoo Hana had a thoughtful expression.

But she still looked confused.

“Ugh… let’s try again… if this doesn’t work, we might have to postpone this scene…”

Yoo Hana had a look that said that wasn’t an option.

She was determined to finish this.

‘Sigh. Is there anything I might be able to help with?’

Watching the repeated cuts was beginning to frustrate me.

‘I wonder if I’ll be leaving late today too.’

Status window.

I opened Yoo Hana’s status window.

‘There should be stats related to her acting… hmm…’

‘I found it.’

There were so many types of stats, some I didn’t even notice before began catching my eye.

‘Hmm. Regret-related emotions… let’s adjust a bit of this and that…’

Not wanting to mess things up, I decided to take a small test.

‘Will this help her at all?’

“Alright, let’s go~~~ Action!”

“Jinseok!!!!”

Yoo Hana rushed towards the male actor.

Her face began to fill with sadness and remorse for her past actions.

Her eyes were starting to get misty.

It was as if she was recalling each of the actions she’d taken one by one up until now.

She occasionally trembled and shook.

“Please… forgive me…”

Her voice trembled more and more.

And with a face overflowing with grief and regret, she looked up at the male actor.

“I… was wrong…”

The whole filming set fell silent as if everyone was holding their breath.

For a brief moment, all eyes were riveted on Yoo Hana, creating a tremendous immersion.
