Chapter 140: Dragon Maiden Special Forces, move out!

“Hush~~~”

Upon hearing the door lock rattle, the couple simultaneously placed their index fingers on each other’s lips, signaling silence.

They listened intently as familiar voices came from outside the door.

“Sister, we snuck into Mommy’s room. What if we get caught?”

“We won’t get caught. Mommy and Daddy should be asleep by now. Besides, we’re just checking on them to see if they kept their promise. Even if we’re caught, it won’t matter.”

“Oh, I see,” said Muen.

Checking on them?

Sweetie, what have you been learning at the academy these past few months? Living together and checking on us… It’s hard not to suspect that Vice Principal Wilson, that old dragon, has brainwashed you and made you ship your parents as a couple.

But they didn’t have time to dwell on Noia’s campus life. The priority now was to deal with this “checking on them” business.

The couple instinctively lowered their heads and glanced at the scene on the sofa—

Good, there was absolutely no trace of what a newlywed couple should look like on their first day of cohabitation. It was more like a honeymoon couple preparing for a passionate night on the sofa.

“It’s Noia and Muen…” Rosvitha’s pupils twitched, her speech quickening.

“No wonder Noia asked earlier, ‘Will you two continue living together?’ She actually thought from the beginning that we might not stay together honestly, so she came to check on us.”

Leon sighed. “Seems like having a smart daughter isn’t always a good thing…”

Muen was okay though—innocent and adorable, naive and clueless. Whatever Mommy and Daddy said, she believed—simply put, she was easy to fool.

But Noia was always clever, and as she grew older and gained more experience, it became increasingly difficult to just rely on surface tricks to deal with her.

“Get in bed,” Rosvitha said in a hushed tone after a brief brainstorm.

This time, Leon couldn’t refuse. “Okay.”

The couple got off the sofa, each grabbing a corner of the blanket, wrapping it around themselves, and stealthily made their way to Rosvitha’s big bed.

But before they could lie down, they realized an even more serious problem.

They looked at each other and simultaneously said, “Pajamas!”

After dinner, they had promised Muen that they would wear matching couple pajamas for cohabitation. But this was just for show; neither of them had any intention of actually wearing those embarrassing couple pajamas with their archenemy.

Who could have expected a room check?

If they left the impression of being untrustworthy to their precious daughters, it would be disastrous.

Leon quickly surveyed the room, thankfully they hadn’t put away the set of couple pajamas in the wardrobe.

He grabbed them and tossed the pink one to Rosvitha, then deftly slipped into his own like a kangaroo, the one-piece pajamas having a zipper extending from the chest to the belly, making it easy to get into.

With the footsteps of the two sisters getting closer and closer, in their urgency, Rosvitha had no choice but to put on the couple’s pajamas directly, not even having time to take off the thin nightgown she was wearing underneath.

After they were both dressed, the couple slipped under the covers of the bed like two fish swimming into water.

To appear more like “loving parents on their first day of cohabitation,” they faced each other, embracing each other as they slept.

“Why do you hold my waist so skillfully?” Rosvitha whispered softly.

“Practice makes perfect, dear wife.”

“Shut up!”

The couple quickly closed their eyes and pretended to sleep.

The two little ones then pushed open the bedroom door just a crack. First, Noia’s little head peeked in, taking a quick look around. Then, beneath her chin, a strand of hair popped out, followed by Muen’s little face.

The sisters observed the bedroom together.

“Balcony, no one.”

“Sofa, no one.”

“Bathroom, no one.”

“Target confirmed to be on the bed, move in!”

The Dragon Maiden Special Forces successfully infiltrated Mommy and Daddy’s bedroom.

They moved silently, lifting their legs high and landing softly, in perfect synchronization. Side by side, they approached the bed.

To avoid detection, the two little ones first knelt under the bed. After confirming that the two people on the bed showed no reaction, they slowly peeked out their little heads, using their small hands to edge up the bed.

“Mommy’s tail is tucked in. Looks like she’s sound asleep,” Muen said.

Dragons instinctively tuck in their tails when they sleep; otherwise, they can’t lie flat. It’s as natural as human breathing, completely automatic.

Noia nodded. “I thought they wouldn’t sleep together.”

Muen looked at her sister curiously. “If they don’t sleep together, then where do they sleep?”

Noia shrugged. “Mom sleeps on the bed, Dad sleeps on the sofa.”

With that, Noia cautiously tiptoed and looked toward the head of the bed.

Seeing Mommy wearing that pink couple pajamas, she withdrew her gaze, smiled satisfactorily, and said, “They even put on their pajamas. It seems like Mommy and Daddy are really taking cohabitation seriously.”

Listening to the sisters’ conversation, the couple on the bed appeared calm on the surface but were actually in a panic.

If it weren’t for the spider incident keeping them from falling asleep, tonight could have ended with their eldest daughter catching them in the act.

Seeing this, although the couple usually maintained their false family facade quite well, in Noia’s mind, they might still be a rather “strange” couple, perhaps?

While Mommy and Daddy were undoubtedly “loving,” there seemed to be some other sentiments mixed in with that affection.

Noia, at her young age, didn’t yet grasp the nuances of these matters, so she could only verify the fact that “Mommy and Daddy love each other” in her own way.

Fortunately, Mommy and Daddy’s behavior so far has been quite good.

Daddy really loved them, and Mommy didn’t seem to show that same lost and melancholic expression as before.

“Sister, actually, one time when you were at school, I came to find Mommy and Daddy, and I found them sleeping together like this,” Muen suddenly said.

Noia raised an eyebrow. “Really?”

“Really. But…”

Muen rubbed her chin, looking up as if recalling the scene. “Mommy and Daddy seemed very tired at the time. Even though the sun was already shining on their tails, they didn’t get up. And, and they had some red marks on their arms and necks.”

“Red marks?”

Muen nodded. “Yeah, like bug bites maybe? Muen even applied ointment for them~”

The little dragon maiden had a look on her face that begged for praise.

Noia smiled and pinched her sister’s chubby cheeks. “Muen is very thoughtful.”

Muen smiled with squinted eyes but then worriedly asked, “But won’t Mommy and Daddy still have red marks on their bodies tomorrow morning when they wake up?”

Noia scratched her head. She didn’t really understand what these “red marks” were all about.

But there shouldn’t be any messy bugs in Mommy’s room, right? “I don’t think so. But if there are, we can apply the ointment again.”

“Yeah, yeah!”

At this moment, the two on the bed were both laughing and crying, as the sisters’ conversation brought back memories of the past.

The “one time” Muen mentioned referred to when Rosvitha regained consciousness after being enchanted by the allure of blood and Leon took her to the mountains to “visit places” before returning the next morning.

They were both exhausted and fell asleep together.

This scene happened to be witnessed by Muen, leading her to mistakenly believe that the marks on their bodies were left by bugs.

Those days were undoubtedly embarrassing times for Rosvitha, but according to the “law of unjust embarrassment,” if she felt embarrassed, then someone was bound to laugh.

They lay on the bed, facing each other, very close. Hearing their daughters discussing this matter, they both opened their eyes and looked at each other involuntarily.

Leon smiled with a meaningful smile, while Rosvitha bit her lip, her face blushing as she stared at Leon with her eyes full of indignation.

Leon just smiled and mouthed three words: “Strawberry marks.”

You dog! As if I don’t know what our daughter meant by “strawberry marks”! I don’t need your reminder!

How could Rosvitha be content with being mocked by Leon like this? She lowered her gaze to Leon’s waist, her mind spinning. With her index finger and thumb working together, she gently twisted his waist—

Ay yo yo yo yo~~ A surge of refreshing sensation shot straight to the heavens from his waist.

This move had a small range of motion, making it hard to detect, but its destructive power was astonishing.

Leon’s face turned red with pain, but he gritted his teeth and endured. He absolutely couldn’t make any sound that would alert their daughters.

Otherwise, he would definitely have to explain himself, and Rosvitha would just stand by and watch like she had nothing to do with it.

Who knows where this dragon mother learned this move from? She’s over two hundred years old, yet she’s still pinching people’s waists like a little girl?

Seeing Rosvitha’s smug smile, Leon knew she was challenging him again.

“Don’t~ make~ a~ sound~” Rosvitha mouthed silently.

After the challenge of not revealing the dragon tattoo, now comes the challenge of not making a sound, huh?

Alright, dragon mother, if you want to play, I’ll play along with you!
