Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have …
Vol. 2 Ch. 2 Table of contents

After talking for a while, the conversation naturally shifted to their daughters.

Leon remembered the fleeting look Noa gave him that morning when they returned home, as if she was silently asking, *Dad, you're not going to leave me, right?*

Though she was still young, Noa often took on the role of the "mature older sister," which meant she carried more weight on her little shoulders.

Leon and Rosvisser had been away from home for five days, and although Anna had been looking after them, sensitive Noa likely sensed something was off.

Leon wondered if he should take some time to talk to Noa and reassure her.

But knowing her personality, being too direct might just make her overthink things even more.

After a while, he came up with another idea.

“Didn’t we talk about going to the beach last time? Let’s set a date and actually go,” Leon suggested.

Rosvisser, leaning against the headboard and playing with the stuffed bear, replied casually, “Oh, so Detective Casmode isn’t too busy uncovering the conspiracy between the Empire and the dragons to take us girls to the beach?”

Leon gave her shoulder a playful shove. “Talk properly.”

Rosvisser chuckled, put down the bear, and looked at him. “Of course, we can go to the beach—after all, we did promise the girls. But we need to buy some new swimsuits.”

“New swimsuits?”

“Yep, all we have left are the ones from that hot spring trip.”

*The hot spring trip...*

Ohhh, right.

Leon remembered it well. That “innocent” swimsuit Rosvisser wore, which secretly dissolved in water...

The mere thought made Leon shudder.

If it weren’t for that swimsuit, they wouldn’t have ended up doing the “dragon mark challenge” in the hot spring;

If they hadn’t done that, they wouldn’t have gotten so carried away, kissing passionately;

And if they hadn’t kissed, they wouldn’t now be at the point where they had to find any excuse to kiss, or else they'd feel restless.

“Yeah, we definitely need new ones.”

After a pause, Leon asked, “So... what happened to that swimsuit from before? Did you throw it away?”

“Why do you ask?”

The queen smirked mischievously. “Do you want me to wear it for you again?”

Leon’s face turned red.

Thinking back to the last time Rosvisser wore that scandalous swimsuit in the hot spring, he couldn’t deny it had left a deep impression on him.

She already had a perfect figure, and the contrast between her usual cold, indifferent demeanor and the seductive allure she displayed in the hot spring was enough to make anyone captivated.

Leon shook his head, trying to clear away the inappropriate thoughts. “No, I don’t. Stop putting words in my mouth.”

Sure, she had looked absolutely stunning back then, but going through that experience again? No, thanks.

Was this mischievous dragon queen really trying to mess with his mind using nothing but a sexy black swimsuit? Not happening!

“Alright, alright. I still kept the swimsuit, but since you don’t want to see it, I’ll just throw it away.”

“Hmph, trying to bait me? Not a chance! Go ahead and toss it, I don’t care!”

“Aww, so full of resolve! But don’t go sneaking into my trash later—that’d be super creepy.”

Leon gave her a sidelong glance and didn’t bother arguing further. He got up from the bed.

“Where are you going?”

“To play with the girls.”

“Make sure you come with me to buy clothes in the village this afternoon.”

“You can go by yourself.”

“If I could go alone, what would I need a fake husband for?”

Leon waved dismissively as he walked toward the door. “Yeah, yeah, what time?”

“Around two. Don’t forget to come back.”

“Got it.”

Leon’s master once told him, “In this world, you can refuse almost any request—except when a woman asks you to go shopping with her. You just can’t say no.”

Leon had asked why.

His master had replied, “When a woman asks you to go shopping, it’s not a question. It’s a notice. If you refuse, your life won’t be pleasant afterward.”

As someone with a lot of experience in this field, Leon decided to follow his master’s advice.

Though he wondered just how much hardship his master had endured from his wife to gain such “wisdom”...

*Sigh* Humanity, passing down knowledge from generation to generation (he mused).

Leon headed to the sanctuary’s back garden, where he found only Moon playing with Little Light, making funny faces. Noa was nowhere to be seen.

He walked over and asked, “Moon, where’s your sister?”

Moon looked up at her dad. “She went to the training grounds.”

*Ah, Noa’s back to her diligent ways.*

Leon patted his younger daughter on the head. “Alright, keep playing with your little sister. I’m going to find Noa.”

Moon nodded obediently. “Okay~.”

Leon turned and made his way to the training grounds.

Sure enough, there was Noa, practicing the new magic Leon had recently taught her.

It was a difficult spell. Even a dragon several years older would struggle to master it in a short time.

Though Noa was naturally talented, she hadn’t seen much success in her early attempts.

Time after time, she tried and failed, her face dripping with sweat.

“Take a break, Noa.”

Upon hearing her father's voice, Noa stopped channeling her magic and turned around. “Dad...”

Leon walked over slowly, squatting down in front of her. “Overtraining can hurt your body. You need to balance work and rest.”

As he spoke, he gently took her small hand.

Her arms were trembling slightly from overexertion, her magical circuits strained from the prolonged practice.

Leon remembered pushing himself the same way when he was young, so he understood how taxing it was on the body.

Especially considering that Noa was only two years old and still in a crucial stage of growth—it was important to avoid any lasting harm.

“Being hardworking is great, but you need to work smart. Otherwise, it could backfire,” he said while massaging her arms. “Besides, you’re already way ahead of the other young dragons your age. You don’t have to push yourself so hard.”

Noa lowered her gaze, looking at her father’s large, comforting hand. In a quiet voice, she said, “I’m not doing it to be better than anyone else...”

Leon blinked. “Then why?”

She gripped the hem of her clothes, her little fists tightening, her silver teeth biting her lower lip, as if hesitating to speak.

After a long pause, she simply said, “It’s nothing. I’ll rest, Dad. I’m done for today.”

If she didn’t want to talk about it, Leon wouldn’t force her.

He smiled as he wiped the sweat from her face and gave her some good news.

“We’re going to the beach in a few days.”

Her tired eyes instantly lit up. “Really, Dad?!”

“Yep, really. Your mom and I are going to the village this afternoon to buy swimsuits. Is there anything you want? I can get it for you.”

Noa thought for a moment, then instead of saying what she wanted, she asked, “Is this a date, Dad?”

“Huh? No, it’s not a date... we’re just buying clothes.”

Noa tilted her head. “But that *is* a date. Girls don’t go shopping with just any boy, so this is definitely a date.”

*Your mom’s over two hundred years old and you still call her a girl?*

Leon pinched her little nose. “Alright, alright, it’s a date. You clever little thing—happy now?”

When it came to Rosvisser, Leon could afford to be stubborn.

After all, he wasn’t afraid of being a henpecked husband.

But when it came to his daughters, his tough demeanor melted like cotton candy.

Because he was a doting father.

Noa giggled. “Then I don’t need anything, Dad. You and Mom can just focus on your date.”

Leon chuckled and scooped her up in his arms. “Come on, let’s go find your sisters and play.”

“Okay~!”
