<Author’s Notes>
I’ve been a bit busy and haven’t had time to write so today’s chapter is a short one.
I finished handing over the samples to Shea-san, so next, I planned to visit the others———- Amel-san and Frea-san, so I was thinking of starting with Amel-san.
When we were at the Founding Festival at Archlesia Empire together, I had promised her I would visit her house, so this time, I decided to focus on that and while I’m at it, deliver the sample to her.
And so, I sent Amel-san a message via hummingbird asking, “I’m thinking of visiting your home. Is there a convenient day for you?”
The reply came back immediately. It was incredibly fast.
“I’ve indeed heard my sworn friend’s plea! The doors of my home are always open before the bond of our friendship! If you wish, I will become a shooting star soaring through the sky to guide you to the promised land! The choice of the shining moment lies with my sworn friend. Feel free to write it down and send it back like a bird of gospel.”
Amel-san’s overflowing enthusiasm was clear from her hummingbird message. If I were to translate it into regular words……
“I understand my sworn friend’s request. I’m always happy to have you visit my home. Since the village of the Wingeds is far from the Capital, if you wish, I can come pick you up. Just let me know the date and time that works for you through hummingbird.”
It seems like Amel-san is leaving the scheduling to me. When I checked if tomorrow would be okay, I got another immediate response via hummingbird. It looks like there won’t be any problems, so I decided to visit Amel-san’s house tomorrow.
The next day, after a night had passed, I headed off to the village of the Wingeds…… isn’t something I did. Although I had seen it from the sky once before, I hadn’t actually descended to the village or registered the location with my Teleportation Magic Tool, so I would need Amel-san to come and pick me up.
However, since meeting at my house could lead to the possibility of Amel-san zooming over from Archlesia to Symphonia like she did before, I decided to arrange our meeting place in Archlesia Empire’s Capital.
[My sworn friend! Today is a wonderful day! Even the clear blue sky seems to be blessing us!]
[Hello, Amel-san. Sorry for suddenly bringing today’s matter yesterday.]
[No! If it’s my sworn friend, you’re always welcome. It’s been my dream to invite friends to my ho…… Hrnn! Time is but a trivial matter compared to our bond. As I’ve written in the whispering birds, the door to my home is always open to my sworn friend.]
Amel-san seemed incredibly happy, and I really felt like I could see a little puppy wagging its tail energetically behind her.
[Well then, let’s get going, my sworn friend!]
[Ah, yes. By the way, what will our mode of transportation be……?]
[Come on, let’s soar together as shooting stars!]
[Ahh, so it’s really gonna be that huh……]
I had suspected as much. It probably wouldn’t be Teleportation Magic…… and sure enough, Amel-san quickly moved behind me and firmly held me…… lifting me up and spreading her wings.
Although it would take less time than when we were from Symphonia, traveling like this makes our bodies quite glued to each other, making my heart beat so fast that I can’t compose myself…… Ahh, right, I should put on the glasses I got from Shiro-san so I can see the scenery properly along the way.
<Afterword>
? ? ? : [I arrive to cut out what happens around Makina “after she lets Serious-senpai hear about her story”. it doesn’t really affect the afterword.]
Serious-senpai : [Can’t you even attempt to save me instead!? ……I took major damage from all the sweetness and was mentally attacked after that…… Kuh, so this is the trial that assaults the embodiment of seriousness……]
? ? ? : [Isn’t this unrelated to that embodiment of seriousness?]
