I Have a Reason to Hate Streamers
Chapter 84 Table of contents

[Title: Streaming with an Incredibly Beautiful Guest]
[‘Elderen’ is streaming now.]

Whiskey turned out to be a much stronger drink than I thought.
As soon as I sat next to Elderen, I started to feel the buzz kicking in.
Elderen, likely noticing the smell of alcohol on me, quickly brought up a notepad on the stream monitor.

Elderen (via notepad): You okay? Didn’t you drink too much?

“I’m fine… really. I’m just at that stage where it feels good,” I replied.

The chains that had been binding me were beginning to loosen.
As the negative feelings started to wash away, I could finally smile a bit.
Choosing to drink had definitely been the right call.

My focus drifted occasionally, but I had no problem reading the chat.
Elderen was looking at me as if waiting for my next move.
Everyone probably thought I was still mulling things over, but my mind was already made up.

I had to go for it.
If not now, when?
Even if I cringe under the covers tomorrow, I’m going to enjoy this moment.

“Yes, I’m Gawol. My sister (Elderen) brought me along for the stream. Hehe… Were you disappointed? I’m not much, am I?”

Ah, thank goodness.
It wasn’t as bad as I had feared.

Though I was still stuttering, I didn’t feel the urge to scratch at my neck with my nails.
My mind wasn’t spiraling into a dark abyss, either.
I felt a bit chilly, but it was bearable.

“That’s not fair… Hurry up and say I’m pretty. I’m scared, you know.”
“How about it? Isn’t my sister gorgeous? I told you she was so pretty that missing out would be a loss for you.”
“Hey sis, can I have some water over here?”
“Here you go.”

I slipped a straw under my mask and sipped some water.
My throat had been unusually dry.
Maybe it was because I was so nervous.

Unlike when I played the game, excitement wasn’t exactly the dominant feeling now—it was more like trembling anxiety.
My fists clenched and unclenched as if to stave off the nerves. I took deep breaths, but they didn’t help much.
Still, every time someone in the chat said I was pretty…

“Hehe…”

…my lips curled into a smile before I even realized it.
It was a good thing I had my mask on.
I didn’t want to show everyone this goofy grin.

That would make me look too easy.
I was just thinking about dying earlier, but now my heart was racing.
If I showed them how excited I was, it would be laughable.

[Imaemangryang donated 50,000 KRW]
[Gawol, you’re so different from in the game.]

I knew that username.
Turns out they were one of Elderen’s regulars.
Should I say that’s fitting, or that it’s not?

“Well, I’m the strongest in the game. But not here. If you call me a loser… I’ll come find you.”

“Pause the chat for a sec. I’m going to write down all of these.”
“Here. Sorry everyone, but today I’m granting all of Gawol’s wishes.”
“Hehe. If you plan on coming to the New World, be ready.”

I copied the usernames from the chat and saved them in my private messages.
This way, I’d be able to find them later even after I went home.
This is exactly why you should keep your online ID separate from your in-game nickname.

Meanwhile, I noticed Elderen’s gaze drifting downward.
When I checked to see what was going on, I realized I had been fiddling with the hem of her skirt.

When did that start?
Startled, I quickly let go, but as soon as I did, I felt a strange emptiness.
It was as if that uneasiness hadn’t quite gone away.

I needed something to hold on to.
So, I grabbed the water bottle and took another sip.

The chat must have seen my jaw when I put the straw in my mask.
The chat was going absolutely wild.
It felt like electricity was surging through my body.
Was the drink I had consumed not whiskey, but some sort of dangerous substance instead?
Something was flowing through my veins, making me feel incredible.

Starting from my chest and spreading all the way to my back, a strange warmth crept over me.
Even the breath leaving my mouth felt heated.
The lower part of my stomach tingled, making me curl my toes.

My hands felt too empty.
So, I grabbed Elderen’s skirt again.
Just having something to hold on to helped calm me.

“Do you… want to see me take off my mask? Hmm, what should I do…”

I placed one hand on the mask, teasing it like I was about to pull it down.
Lowering it to the bridge of my nose, then lifting it back up.
Next, I pulled it up just enough to reveal my jawline, then restored it to its original position.

The sight of the chat going wild at my every little movement made me laugh.

“Ahaha. This is fun! Haha… Do you want to see more? Too bad. I’m not going to show you.”

“Rioting isn’t allowed! This is my sister’s stream, after all. Haha. The nape of my neck? Why would you want to see that? No, there’s no scar. It’s perfectly clean.”

“Hmm, something too provocative wouldn’t be allowed, right? The nape… I wonder if that’s too much?”
“Isn’t it a bit too much?”
“That’s what she says. Then, I won’t show you. Hehe, I’m a good girl who listens well.”

I wrapped my clothing tightly around me, making sure even the bits of skin that had been visible were hidden away.

The chat exploded, but in a way, that was just as entertaining to watch.
But how many people were watching now?
Wait… this number looks a little strange.

I had never seen numbers like this while watching a stream before.
Twenty thousand viewers, a number reserved for things like official pro leagues or major game showcases, was on the screen.

It might even go higher at this rate.

“Wow…? There are so many people. Sis, you’re really popular!”
“They’re not here for me, they’re here for you. Word must’ve spread. Even I’ve never seen this many people watching before.”
“Eek! Now I don’t want to take off my mask…”

Wasn’t this a bit much?
The chat was moving so fast that even with my reflexes, I couldn’t keep up anymore.
All I could catch were the occasional ???? emojis.

Donations seemed to be pouring in as well.
Now that I had missed the first few, I didn’t know what to respond to anymore.

“Sis, what should I do? I missed the early donations…”
“I’ll show them to you one at a time.”
“Oh yeah… I almost forgot. Someone asked to see my neck earlier, right? I’ll show you just a little.”

I loosened the collar of my outfit a bit and slid a finger toward my shoulder.
Making sure the camera could see, I leaned in, exposing my pale neck and collarbone.

“Please… don’t spread this around. I’m embarrassed.”

“Why do you guys like armpits so much? I seriously don’t get it. You’re all such perverts. Haha… No thighs though, sorry.”

My legs were still too hard to move.
The alcohol was definitely kicking in harder now.
Maybe I’d gone a bit overboard with it.

Maybe it was my own fault.
There were so many requests to see my armpits now.
I figured it wouldn’t hurt, so I reached for my neck and lifted my arm.

“Really, is this what you guys like? You’re all such freaks. Do you… like this too?”

I gently stroked the skin between my armpit and torso.
My fingers pressed into the soft flesh, which squished under the pressure before bouncing back.
I kneaded it carefully, then spread the skin slightly with my fingers before letting go.

Watching the chat explode made me feel loved.
This is dangerous.
I need to be careful.
My head was spinning with euphoria, and I couldn’t think clearly.

“Water? No, I don’t want to. It’s too annoying to wipe off again. I’ll do it next time we meet.”

Between donations, some were asking about the game.
How was the war going? Was I sticking with Soolbbang?
Did I seriously have no plans to go pro?

Haha, I’m not answering any of that.
If I did, you wouldn’t come back to see me next time.
I still want to be loved more.

“Oh, right, I have something to say. Should I say this, then take off the mask? Hmm…”

I still had a few weeks left.
Enough time to make it to the first siege battle.
It might be Gawol’s last fight, so I wanted it to be grand.

“Is Cross watching? The guild leader of Cross, that is.”

I took a deep breath.

“Don’t mess with me. You’re just a balding old man. You’re nothing now. I can beat you… with my feet. If you kneel before me and beg, I might let you kiss my toes.”

As I finished speaking, I took off the mask.
Nervously, I glanced at my reflection on the screen.
Thankfully, I was smiling brightly, playfully.
