Volume 1 Chapter 41: This Plot Seems Familiar!
“Another round!”
“No, Wang Jie, you can’t handle any more than this.”
Zhang Shaoqing chuckled and pushed Wang Jie’s shoulder, but Wang Jie just lowered his head, not reacting for a while.
“Wen Yang, shall we continue?”
He looked to the other side of the booth, only to see Ning Chu leaning against the sofa, looking dazed. His slightly vacant eyes, despite his efforts to rub them and stay awake, showed signs of being halfway drunk.
In this drunken state, he looked like a girl ready for a night out.
As for Wen Yang, he seemed comfortable sleeping on Ning Chu’s thigh.
“Your tolerance for alcohol is too low,” Zhang Shaoqing teased. “Ning Chu, you’ve only had two drinks!”
“Damn it, do I have to take care of you guys even when I’m treating you to drinks?”
Grumbling, Zhang Shaoqing got up, beckoning a waiter. “Where’s the nearest hotel? Get two people to help me take them there.”
“Hotel?”
Hearing this word, Ning Chu’s slow brain immediately associated it with another term: “booking a room.”
He jolted, shaking his head vigorously. “No! I want to go back to the dorm!”
“Why? I’ll drive you home. Then tomorrow we can continue being roommates in the ICU?”
“I’ll take a taxi!”
“Do you see what time it is?”
Zhang Shaoqing was always straightforward and a bit harsh in his speech, coupled with his dyed blonde hair that made him look like he could burst into violence at any moment, leaving Ning Chu speechless and submissive.
The bar upstairs was connected to a hotel. Ning Chu felt uneasy sitting on the sofa, watching the drunken Wen Yang and Wang Jie being escorted away by the staff, feeling even more anxious.
Now he was half-drunk, his body reacting strangely. The only antagonist who was sober was trying to book a room with him…
Although Ning Chu was willing to believe that Zhang Shaoqing had no ulterior motives, there were no limits to what the antagonists in the book would do.
Why did he have to write about antagonists in such a pure story!
All those dark thoughts were written onto the antagonists, making Ning Chu always uneasy around Zhang Shaoqing.
“Let’s go, do I have to support you?” Zhang Shaoqing was a bit unsteady on his feet as he walked, putting a pack of sunflower seeds in his pocket. He led the way, arranging accommodation as he spoke. “With two drunkards, who knows what might happen? I’ll share a room with Wang Jie, you and Wen Yang will share another. How about that?”
Ning Chu hurried to catch up. If it weren’t the end of the month and he hadn’t spent all his money on a black cat, leaving him with just a few dollars, he would have chosen to take a taxi back to the dorm or book another room.
Sharing a room with Wen Yang was better than sleeping in a park.
When they arrived at the hotel on the second floor, Ning Chu stood at the front desk and could already hear the sounds of panting coming from deeper in the corridor.
He already felt a bit unwell, and hearing those seductive sounds made him even more uneasy.
“Why is the soundproofing this bad?” Zhang Shaoqing frowned, scanning the price list. “Who in their right mind would price this room at 300?!”
Although he complained, there was no other choice. Another hotel staff member probably wouldn’t continue to help two drunk people. Zhang Shaoqing could only reluctantly complete the procedures.
“Let’s go, time for bed.”
“Okay…”
“You and Wen Yang will stay in this room.” Zhang Shaoqing pointed to the door opposite. “If you need anything, knock on the door. I’m going to bed.”
After the bar staff settled Wen Yang onto the bed and left, Ning Chu sat on a wicker chair in the hotel room, looking at the closed door, glancing at Wen Yang who was snoring on the bed without any movement. Only then did he breathe a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, this guy really didn’t have any other intentions towards him.
“Sure enough, one isn’t allowed to touch even a drop of wine if they want to be safe.” He lamented, leaning back and rubbing his sore eyes. “Luckily, I’m still a man now. If I had already become a girl, I might have been… ”
How scary!
Never again will he come to a bar like this! Even though he consciously controlled himself and only had two large cocktails, he still felt physically weak and couldn’t see the road clearly.
And who knows what’s going on, apart from the drunkenness, a bunch of yellow garbage suddenly appeared in his brain, and it even aroused some other feelings…
“Ugh~”
Shaking his head vigorously, Ning Chu’s face flushed. He supported himself on the table, preparing to take a bath to cool down.
When he reached the entrance of the bathroom, Ning Chu froze in place.
Why was the bathroom door transparent?! You could directly see into the shower from outside!
He turned his head to see Wen Yang still snoring quietly on the bed, and his wariness towards the protagonist quickly dissipated.
Anyway, this guy was already asleep.
If he had to worry about something, it would be being intruded upon while showering in the dorm.
A bathtub! It’s been a long time since he had a bath.
Indeed, as expected of him, even in a drunken state, he still maintained a high level of vigilance!
Ning Chu supported his head, stumbling into the bathroom, filling the bathtub with water and splashing his face. He remembered to lock the door, not waiting for the bathtub to fill up completely before lying down in it.
Much better~
The warm water slowly spread and rose, gently enveloping more and more of his skin. He sighed comfortably, shifting his hips to find a more comfortable position.
The sound of running water startled Wen Yang, who opened his eyes slightly, staring blankly at the unfamiliar ceiling and scanning the surroundings.
The room was small, with two beds covered in white sheets, a set of wicker chairs around a glass table, a wall-mounted TV, and a computer in the corner.
Yawning, Wen Yang, who had never had cocktails before, was caught off guard like Ning Chu and passed out. He could barely remember anything before passing out, except that he seemed to be lying on Ning Chu’s thigh…
That thigh was quite soft, with a faint scent of a girl, it’s so comfortable that he quickly lost consciousness.
Though awake now, Wen Yang continued to stare blankly at the ceiling, feeling dazed. After a while, he suddenly realized he was in a hotel.
He had to turn on the TV! Set the air conditioning to the lowest temperature!
Otherwise, it would be a waste.
He rolled out of bed, preparing to use the bathroom, but only a few steps in did he notice the sound of water coming from inside.
“Who’s there?”
He asked loudly as he approached.
The sound of water suddenly stopped.
Ning Chu’s groggy brain instantly cleared.
Glancing at the frosted glass door already covered in condensation, he calmly shouted, “Wait outside, I’m showering!”
Casually taking a towel to dry himself, Ning Chu’s movements suddenly froze.
Wait! Bathroom! Drunk Protagonist entered in an accident?!
Why does this plot look so familiar!
He couldn’t wait to give himself a slap! What was he taking for granted just now? In the end, after making countless schemes to protect himself, it was still in vain!
His body slid into the bathroom, his pupils shrinking as he stared straight at the door.
