There was a similar yet much more difficult situation in a novel I read a year ago. In it one of the heroine was getting experimented on by her own family. Which led the whole alliance to banish and attack her family by the strongest warriors at the time. During this attack MC despite constantly dissuaded by his lover and teacher, still went and saved her. Turning himself from a young prodigy to the most wanted criminal. He was already a target of the opposition force and the alliance was also weary of him due to a prophecy, and this incident just gave them the reason to eliminate him with full force. That novel really was something.
There's one thing I was wondering. If MC's father can erase the energy of blood demon from Heavenly Lord then why couldn't he erase Heavenly Demon energy within himself in MC's previous life?!?🤔
I had my suspicions but this confirmed it. The Blood demon really broke his promise with MC, back in the trial time line. He promised to not interfere while the MC was there yet sent Heavenly lord to kill him. I don't know wether he wanted MC to awaken or take over his body, but he still broke his promise nonetheless...

Alright in the previous chapter I thought the fight would resemble 'Murim Login' corrupted Imugi dragon battle but I was wrong. Though the instructions part was identical but the fight itself couldn't be compared to that one. The fight with the corrupted Imugi was way too much intense and dangerous where you could feel the desperation from reading it. I don't know why this snake didn't do anything to attack wether it was related to MC (his lord) being there or something else but I'm disappointed. 🐍VS🐉
I feel like his snake could also have consumed it.🐉
